Given the current issues in the market, this mandatory additional due diligence is required by the Chief Investment Officer from any firm that discloses the use of a third party relationship on Form 600 J, Disclosure of Third Party Relationships. Additionally, any firms using third party marketing relationships in conjunction with CalSTRS or placement agent firms contacting CalSTRS are strongly encouraged to complete and submit this form.

Prior to entering into any of the following, all “third party relationships” with persons or entities that assisted with the solicitation (Placement Agents) must be disclosed in writing to the Chief Investment Officer.

• Investment transaction
• Investment management contract
• Amendment to an existing contract

To report third party Placement Agent relationships, submit the completed Investment Branch – Placement Agent Form by e-mail.
