CalSTRS benefit checks are sent in the mail or electronically if you have
direct deposit.
Scheduled pay dates for 2010, which includes January 2011, are below.

Choose Direct Deposit
To have your check electronically deposited in your bank account fill out the
Direct Deposit Authorization form.

- Over 90 percent of CalSTRS retirees chose direct deposit.
- It is safe, quick and reliable.
- It reduces the risk of your check getting lost in the mail, stolen or forged.
- If your check is lost, stolen or forged replacing your check takes less time.
If Your Check Is Late
Benefit Checks Received by Mail
- Contact CalSTRS if you have not received your check by the 5th day of the month.
- Make sure we have your correct mailing address or update your address. Fill out and submit an
Address
Change Request form.
Benefit Checks Received through Direct Deposit
- Check with your bank first if you believe your check has not been deposited on time.
- Banks normally contact CalSTRS if a direct deposit does not get deposited.
- If your check has not been deposited, a check will be mailed to you at the address in
CalSTRS files.
- Your check will arrive shortly after the normal pay date.
- Contact CalSTRS if you have questions.
- Make sure we have your correct mailing address or update your address. Fill out
an
Address Change Request form.
