Most CalSTRS benefits recipients have their monthly benefits electronically deposited to their banks. CalSTRS is monitoring how delivery of mail is impacted by the Southern California wildfires. As of Monday, October 29, 2007, mail operations have resumed to most areas, although some alternate sites are available for areas still inaccessible. More than 380,000 ballots for the 2007 Board Election were mailed in early October to active members of CalSTRS. Ballots can be cast by mail, internet, and telephone through November 30, 2007.
