Most members remain highly satisfied with CalSTRS customer service
Every year, CalSTRS conducts a survey of active and retired members to assess their satisfaction with CalSTRS’ staff and service. The youngest respondent of the annual survey was 21; the oldest was 101. Among the respondents was an 80-year-old active member.
This is in addition to ongoing surveys taken immediately at the conclusion of contact with CalSTRS representatives, where about 97% of respondents reported high satisfaction with CalSTRS.
The annual survey reflected that most respondents—64%—reported being "satisfied" or "completely satisfied" with CalSTRS.
The survey was emailed to a random sample of 138,753 active and retired members beginning January 11, 2024, and closed on February 12, 2024. There were 3,082 respondents, representing 2,076 active and 1,006 retired members.
By conducting this survey, CalSTRS shows its ongoing commitment to improvement and self-evaluation based on feedback from California’s public school educators.
